Alex Kharchenko: Senior Systems Engineer

Need tech help? Alex Kharchenko, one of our senior systems engineers and our resident Technology Alignment Manager, is your guy. Alex has been with Fairdinkum for seven years but has a lifetime of technology experience.

Originally from Kharkov, Ukraine, Alex grew up in Brooklyn, NY. When he was younger, Alex spent time building his tech skills through hobbies like fixing his friends’ computers in middle and high school and gaming. His first “real” IT job was at an elementary school. He says the thing he learned most was the importance of interpersonal skills, which helps him communicate with clients today.

His gaming passion started at 8 years old and grew exponentially when he was given a PlayStation 1 by his parents. It’s the gift that stands out most in his memories – and may have contributed to his obsession with new technology and gadgets! E-games are a big pastime. He played Counter Strike at a high level for 10 years! Alex also enjoys boxing and MMA.

Outside of work and gaming, Alex likes spending time with his wife, along with his pets, Mango and Apple. He enjoys exercising and would like to find more time to hike or trail walk. His best advice is to stay consistent! Seeing progress, however small, is what motivates him. When you keep going, you’ll eventually reach your goals.
