Javier Espinal: Senior Systems Administrator

Javier Espinal is the perfect person to fill the role of senior systems administrator! His attention to detail and insistence on a stable internet connection means Fairdinkum and our clients are in good hands. His habit of documenting every detail is a good one for any technician to have!

Raised in Brooklyn, NY, Javi lived a self-professed carefree life immersed in baseball and finding ways to be in front of a screen, whether it was a computer or a video game. He naturally gravitated toward an IT profession because it was what he was familiar with – but admits that the job is much more than the basics of printers and computers. Cloud and large management solutions have been an unexpected and enjoyable part of the job.

Outside of the office, Javier is an energetic person who believes in investing in his health. Rain or shine, he can be found at the gym, and he takes advantage of nice weather with hikes. He has already set ambitious goals for himself, including running a half-marathon with plans to eventually tackle a full marathon. Also on his bucket list is to learn how to swim—and do it well! 

When he’s not working or pursuing fitness goals, Javier enjoys music. He has enjoyed a variety of artists and genres over the years, including merengue and bachata songs. And yes, he has a song that would be his go-to for karaoke: Take Me Home, Country Roads. He says he finds himself blurting out the lyrics at random times, so it should be one he can handle!
